Interstate Engineering Announces New Staff

Interstate Engineering’s recent additions to the Sidney office and Williston and Beulah construction offices include: Civil Technician Veronica Meyer, Senior Project Engineers Scott Johnston and Lowell Cutshaw, Staff Engineer Doug Loudon, Party Chief Clyde King, Land Surveyor Jason Patnaude, Project Engineer Dean Rau, Field Assistant Calen Kastner, and Administrative Assistant Michelle Haugen.

Veronica Meyer received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University in Fargo. Veronica has previously worked for Bolton & Menk, Inc., Chaska, MN, as well as Ackerman-Estvold Engineering, Minot. Veronica is based in the Sidney office.

Scott Johnston is based in the Williston office and holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University. Prior to joining Interstate Engineering, Scott worked for the NDDOT Williston District for 13 years and also served in the ND Army National Guard for 12 ½ years, including a one-year tour in Iraq.

Lowell Cutshaw received a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Tech from Montana State University. Lowell’s previous work experience includes 3½ years with the City of Watford City, ND as City Administrator/Engineer; 7 years with the City of Lewiston, ID as city engineer; and 7 years with Wyatt Engineering, Lewiston, as project manager. Lowell is based in the Sidney office.

Doug Loudon is based in the Williston office and earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Doug worked for the City of Lincoln, NE, prior to joining Interstate Engineering.

Clyde King is based in the Sidney office. Prior to joining Interstate Engineering, Clyde worked as party chief for Holland Land Surveying, Chapel Hill, NC, for 12 years and Goforth & Associates, Mebane, NC, for 5 years.

Jason Patnaude is based in the Sidney office and attended the College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas, NV. Prior to joining Interstate Engineering, Jason worked as a project manager for Wallace Morris Surveying and as a Mapping Manager for Wright Engineers, both in Las Vegas. Jason also worked for Brechler & Bell Consulting Engineers in North Las Vegas as a land surveyor.

Dean Rau is based in the Beulah office. Dean earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. Dean previously worked for the City of Grand Forks for 3 years as assistant city engineer as well as the NDDOT for 14 years as Transportation Engineer III.

Calen Kastner is based in the Sidney office. Calen is a graduate of North High School, Bakersfield, CA.

Michelle Haugen is a graduate of Williston High School and is based in the Williston office. Prior to joining Interstate Engineering, Michelle spent 6 years working for Windstar Cruises, Seattle, WA.
