Parent Café: How To Protect Your Kids At School

With safety being a topic of discussion in our community lately, many parents have raised questions about what they can and should do to keep their children safe while at school. Is it okay for my child to bring pepper spray to school? Does the school allow personal self-defense items? This month’s topic for the Parent Café is going to be very helpful in teaching parents about the safety and security of their children while on school grounds, and what the schools are doing to keep them safe.

The Parent Café offers a place for parents to learn how to keep their children safe at school and other times when adults are not present. Come learn and get support from other parents who are dealing with the same questions.

The next Parent Café will be held on Wednesday, March 7 from 12-1 p.m. in the FCS room at Sidney Middle School. Also, if you would like to eat the school’s hot lunch, please contact the school office at 433-4050 the day before to be counted for lunch.

For more information contact Bridget, Diana or Nicole at 406-433-4097.
