Healthcare Scholarships Available

The Foundation for Community Care’s Board of Directors is pleased to accept applications for its annual Healthcare Scholarship program. Richland County and surrounding area residents pursuing an education in a healthcare field who intend to live and work in the area are encouraged to apply for funding.

“We want to encourage local individuals to pursue careers in healthcare and stay here or return here to work after they graduate,” Foundation Executive Director Staci Miller said. “Our mission is to help ensure the continuance and quality of local medical and healthcare services. An excellent quality workforce is a key part of our overall healthcare system.”

The number and amount of scholarships to be awarded will be determined by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. Qualified applicants can apply by contacting the Foundation for Community Care at 488-CARE. Applications, requirements and guidelines are available at the Foundation office or on their website at http://www.foundationfor communitycare.org. Applications must be received by the Foundation by April 27, 2012 to be considered.
