Williston Community Appreciation Night for Local National Guards

Sponsored by the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce-Military Affairs Committee, this event is for our local North Dakota National Guard unit, the 818th EM CO (Sapper). Everyone is invited to come support our citizen soldiers, as they prepare for their deployment to Afghanistan.

The event will be held on April 5, 2012, at the Raymond Family Community Center Arena, 1102 11th St. West, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Supper will be served, and immediately following the meal, the colors will be posted, followed by an invocation, brief comments from local leadership, the benediction and the retiring of the colors. Several local businesses have volunteered to grill hamburgers and brats with all the fixings. Strong support has been offered by the ATCO Lodge, Cal Kern, Capital Lodge, FMC Technologies, Industrial Equipment Sales & Services, OK Distributing, Target Logistics and the Williston Herald and is greatly appreciated.

Everyone is invited to attend. The soldiers would love to see and meet you! Come for a few minutes or stay for the evening. This is an opportunity for each of us to say “Thank You” for the service and sacrifice of our soldiers.

Williston’s soldiers will be departing from Bismarck, with their official send-off event scheduled for April 29, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Bismarck Civic Center.
