The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to install traffic signals at two intersections in Sidney, MT, Richland County.  New traffic signals will be installed at the following intersections:  West Holly Street (MT 16) and 22nd Avenue and West Holly Street (MT 16) and Lincoln Avenue.

Proposed work includes the installation of the traffic signals at both intersections, as well as, new curb, gutter and sidewalk and ADA ramps at the intersections.

The purpose of the project is to improve safety and operations at these two intersections.

Construction is tentatively planned for 2014, depending on completion of design and availability of funds.  New right-of way and relocation of utilities will be required.  MDT staff will contact all affected landowners prior to doing survey work on their land.  Staff will again contact landowners prior to construction regarding property acquisition and temporary construction permits.
