Thanks to Million Dollar Lanes, 47 bowling teams, Schwans and some generous people, Make a Wish Foundation will be able to make more wishes come true.
Bryan & Sheila Goehring, owners of Million Dollar Lanes in Williston, held their annual bowling tournament to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. 24 Teams rallied on March 16th and another 23 teams stepped up on March 23rd. In addition to the bowling tournament, a silent auction was held, Schwans donated a percentage of their proceeds for a sale that took place during the tournament and a few generous donations were given from individuals. When it was all said and done, a total of $18,772.85 was collected for Make a Wish. That dollar amount exceeded last year’s total by over $10,000.
Several local businesses put teams together in support of this wonderful cause; some dressed up and all had a great time. Another charity tournament will be scheduled for October 2013.
