Public Hearing To Be Held On July 9, To Discuss Proposed US Hwy 85 & ND Hwy 23 Bypass Routes Around Watford City

A public hearing will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CDT on July 9, 2013, at the Civic Center gym located at 213 2nd Street NE Watford City, ND 58854. The Public Meeting will utilize an open house format starting at 5:30 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6:00 p.m. and open microphone question and answer period from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss potential improvements and impacts associated with construction of the proposed bypass route connecting US Highway 85 and ND Highway 23 south of Watford City, ND. The public hearing will provide opportunity for public input.

Representatives from the city of Watford City, McKenzie County, NDDOT and FHWA will be available to answer questions.

Public Inspection: The May 2013 Environmental Assessment, including project maps, sketches and other pertinent information, is available for public viewing at the following locations: Watford City City Hall, 213 2nd St. NE, Watford City; McKenzie County Courthouse, 201 5th St. NW, Watford City; NDDOT Williston District Office, 605 Dakota Pkwy W, Williston; NDDOT Central Office, information desk 1st floor, 608 E Boulevard Ave., Bismarck; McKenzie County Public Library, 112 2nd Ave. NE, Watford City; the NDDOT project website (https://www.dot.nd.gov/projects/western-nd/truck-routes/watfordcity-truck-bypass.htm) or by request.

The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
