M-T Saddle Club to Hold Fund Raiser

The M-T Saddle Club is planning a western themed fund raiser to benefit their Youth Rodeo. The full day of fun and food will kick off at 8 a.m. Saturday, August 17 in the Tractor Supply Co. parking lot, 120 26th St. E., Williston.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the petting zoo which will feature barnyard animals including a bottle calf, goat, miniature horses, draft horses and lots more.

A western themed bake sale will have goodies sure to please everyone’s palette. Lunch will also be available.

A real treat for everyone will be the teams and wagons which will be there. Ron Oyloe, who has had draft horse teams for over 30 years and farms with his teams, will have his Percherons at the fund raiser. Jake Henderson will bring his ND Draft Association team of the Year, a beautiful pair of Belgians. There will also be a team of mini horses, owned by Kendel Hoffer. “People will be able to pet and feed the horses. It will be fun and educational,” said organizer Jennie Henderson.

All proceeds will go towards providing great prizes for the youth rodeo, including saddles and buckles. “We want to make it really good for the kids,” Henderson said.

The 1st annual M-T Saddle Club Youth Rodeo will take place September 14 and 15 at the UMV Fairgrounds, Williston. Entry deadline is August 15.
