Gearing Up and Getting Excited About the First Ever Badlands Outdoor Recreation Expo-BORE

For many people in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota, fall brings raised testosterone levels & our heart rates increase with thoughts of hunting, fishing & adventure travel time at its beautiful best.  Join us at the Badlands Outdoor Recreation Expo-BORE-as we meet friends and check out new tools and toys and swap stories of the big one that got away.

BORE tradeshow is September 27 & 28th,  2013,  from 10-6 Friday and 9-3PM Saturday and is free to the public.  Lunch will be available both days.

Join us for a special added feature:  David Garfield will present a demonstration and review of techniques in the use of Google Earth to identify best hunting areas.  Google Earth is a free, user-friendly program that gives the user a 3-D view of anywhere on the Earth’s surface.  The user can add marks and symbols to that view of the surface, and also add to the Google Earth display features that were observed in the field and recorded onto a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit.

The tools in Google Earth allow the user to manipulate the view of the Earth’s surface, note features, and observe factors contributing to vegetation growth throughout the year.  David will demonstrate how to use these tools to find the best forage and shelter during the fall hunting season and to demonstrate useful observations in the field, recorded with a GPS unit, that contribute greatly to understanding the game animals in a given area and how that game moves in that area throughout the season.
