Improving Recycle Center

The fall project of Sidney FFA and Agriculture Education students came to a completion recently as Marianne Gartner, Ethan Chamberlain and Ryan Steinbeisser put the finishing touches to the receiving center at Richland Opportunity Inc.. Students planned framed, poured and finished large concrete pads that were transported and established on site for employee safety and comfort as they work around the all weather site. The Sidney FFA chapter is embarking on the fourth year of cooperative events with ROI, City of Sidney and Richland County. A current application for grant funds through National FFA and USDA will complete a $25,000 investment into our county to improve Community Service Learning Activities for county FFA youth. Lambert, Savage and Sidney FFA chapters have cooperatively assisted in the community recycling efforts. Sidney FFA has a proven record of community service as it celebrates 75 years of "Living to Serve". Join Sidney FFA in celebrating is birthday during January, 2014.
