“The Real Williston,” will be an informational guide to the top ten issues and challenges our community faces today. Each issue will be covered over a one month period of time for a total of ten months. Media outlets covering the issues include local newspapers, radio and television stations.
“The Real Williston,” will break down each issue over a three to four week period of time covering the past, present and future of each issue. In order to answer the tough questions we first must examine: “Where were we? Where are we now? Where are we going?”
The confirmed list of topics will include: Housing, Crime Rates, Infrastructure, Quality of Life, City Government, Medical Care,Education, Area Economics-Inflation, the Energy Industry’s Impact on Economic Development and Advocating State Support for Oil Impact Funds. Guest speakers will include; experts in each industry, city officials and city employees.
“The Real Williston,” project has three main goals; to improve awareness, provide a non-biased evaluation of our community’s issues, and increase volunteerism where possible.
