Proposed work includes a complete reconstruction of the first seven miles of the project including a possible new crossing over Little Muddy Creek, along with updated culverts, asphalt surfacing, pavement markings and signage. The remaining seven miles of the project will include placement of additional gravel material, asphalt surfacing, new pavement markings, and slope flattening. The purpose of the project is to provide an improved roadway to better handle the increased traffic and provide a continuous paved route from Bainville to the North Dakota state line on Secondary 327.

Construction is tentatively planned for 2017, depending on completion of design and availability of funds.

New right-of way and relocation of utilities will be required. MDT’s consultant will contact all affected landowners prior to doing survey work on their land. MDT staff will contact landowners prior to construction regarding property acquisition and temporary construction permits.
