Train ND Starting Building Fund

Train ND is looking for help and support to build the Northwest Center. Envisioned is a facility that will provide opportunities to hold workforce training classes, educational classes, business meetings, and other events. Russ Rankin, Chair of the TrainND Advisory boards stated, “This building is valuable to energy businesses as it will provide all types of training from entry level safety training to advanced technical classes. This project will leave a legacy for future businesses to utilize for decades in the future.”

Train ND provides training for North Dakota business and industry, enhancing their ability to compete globally. They provide training for not only energy companies, but for health care, construction, transportation, retail, financial, and other industries. Deanette Piesik, CEO states, “TrainND provides training to all types of companies in northwest North Dakota. Primarily we serve the energy companies, but our market also includes other businesses in the region.” Some of the training programs include: Crane certification, OSHA classes, PEC classes, Forklift certification, IADC Rig Pass, Medic First Aid, Communication for Leadership Success, Coaching for Peak Performance, Certified Nursing Assistant, Quick books, Excel, Petroleum Equipment for Field Personnel, Well Control, Floorhand for Well Servicing, etc. These classes and others could greatly benefit with more space and a central location.

This 19,740 square foot training and educational center can provide business solutions for area companies. The building has state of the art technology, large classrooms, a large conference room with a viewing deck, and an employee kiosk with registration terminals. A commercial kitchen is located in the building as well as a computer lab and nursing lab. Piesik stated, “ This building will allow flexibility to adapt to future training environments as well as serving other industries in the region.”

TrainND is actively seeking tax-deductible gifts from individuals, businesses, companies, and foundations for the TrainND building fund. We could use your help to reach our goal of $7,500,000 for a new training facility. We need an additional $1,500,000 to make this dream a reality. State and local match funds are available. With every dollar donated the state/local funds will match that dollar. This is a great opportunity for businesses and TrainND. There are various levels of donations. Gold level donors have the opportunity to sponsor a room or an area in the Northwest Center. Companies can pledge dollars over a two to three year period. Pledge forms and information are available and all questions can be directed to Deanette Piesik, CEO of TrainND, [email protected], 701-774-4246.
