Boys & Girls Club Annual Dinner & Auction March 15

The Boys and Girls Club of Richland County will host its annual dinner and auction Saturday, March 15 at the Richland County Fair Event Center beginning at 5 p.m. Dinner, catered by the Ranger Lounge, Casino and Eatery, will feature Mike's famous chicken fried steak and roast beef with all the trimmings. Special appetizers will also be served beginning at 5 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Boys and Girls Club or from any board member for only $30 each or $55 for two. In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, anyone wearing green will be entered for a special prize.

The auctions will feature a wide variety of items to bid on. Live auction items so far include Talledega tickets plus $1200 in spending money; a kid's Pepsi Nike bike; an Ashley recliner; Medora Weekend package; acoustic electric guitar; Lucky Buckle gift certificate paired with a facial by Nikki Carda; a TomTom GPS system; a Power Wheels 3500 Ram dually for kids, a Model A Roadster pedal car, plus great sports memorabilia.

Last year, the event raised over $40,000 to help support the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County fulfill its mission, "To inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens". The Club provides a positive place for local young people to go and greatly appreciates all the support it receives from the community.
