NDSU Extension Service Offers Garden Forums

The NDSU Extension Service in McKenzie County is one of several North Dakota counties offering a new series of garden workshops this spring. The Spring Fever Garden Forum will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, March 25, 27, and April 1 and 3.

A team of 12 university researchers will provide the latest information on caring for yards and gardens. Topics include selecting landscape trees, gardening in containers, selecting superior flower and vegetable varieties, improving soil, preventing diseases, growing hardy fruits and more. Specialists will give short presentations and then answer your questions.

Live presentations from NDSU in Fargo will be broadcast over 30 Extension offices across the state. Gardeners may also attend these meetings via the internet on their home computers. All gardeners are welcome to participate and everything is free. Presentations go from 6:30 to 8:30 pm CT each night. If you plan to attend sessions at the McKenzie County Extension Office please pre-register your attendance by Friday, March 21 at the McKenzie County Extension office by calling 701-444-3451 or e-mail [email protected].
