On Monday, March 31, the Richland County Extension Office will host an organizational/planning meeting for the Richland County Community Garden. Anyone interested in learning more about the project, helping out with the gardens, or want to actually reserve a garden spot, is invited to attend.
The Richland County Community Garden will be an area set aside for those with little or no gardening space of their own to reserve a garden bed and be able to grow their own produce. The garden will consist of 24, 4ft by 8ft raised bed gardens that will be 15 inches high. Those interested in reserving a garden space will need to attend the meeting to learn more about the project and how to reserve a spot.
