The featured speaker will be Arch Ellwein presenting “Richland County’s 100 Years of Leaders”. In 1910, Eastern Montana consisted of four counties. North to south, they were Valley, Dawson, Rosebud and Custer. Within 15 years those four became 18. Richland County was carved out of Dawson County in 1914. It was a time of exciting change and men and women were up to the challenge.

As actor/ historian, Ellwein will share a little history, experience visiting with tourists over the past ten years and a few choice quotes from Theodore Roosevelt. Ellwein, a local radio broadcaster and educator, has performed as his historic characters over 1700 times in 16 states since 1996.
