Private Land/Public Wildlife Council to Meet in Billings

The Private Land/Public Wildlife Council will meet April 23-24 in Billings at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center, 1223 Mullowney Lane.

At the meeting the council will discuss Montana’s Block Management program, hear about work accomplished by the License Advisory Committee, and begin evaluating options and possible preliminary recommendations, based upon work accomplished since the March meeting.

Each of the 18 members of the governor-appointed council is interested in issues related to hunters, anglers, landowners, and outfitters, including but not limited to Montana’s hunting and fishing access enhancement programs, landowner-hunter relations, outfitting industry issues, and other matters related to private lands and public wildlife.

Meeting times are 8 a.m.–4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, and 8 a.m.–noon on Thursday, April 24. The public is invited to observe council proceedings. Designated times for public comment are set for 4:30 p.m. on April 23 and 11:30 a.m. on April 24.
