MONDAK Ag Showcase Field Day Thursday and Friday, July 10th and 11th

Each year the Mon-Dak Ag Showcase is held to showcase and promote the Mon-Dak region as a place for new agricultural development and businesses. The event allows guests in attendance to view crops currently growing in the region. The Showcase also promotes the irrigation development and potential on dryland conditions and promotes the region as a viable ag producing region on a wide variety of crops and livestock.

THURSDAY: The event kicks off at the Williston Research Extension Center on Thursday, July 10th with refreshments being served at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Crop Tour of Research Plots, a Horticulture Program presentation and wrapping up the morning session will be a BBQ chicken luncheon prepared and served by the Williston Chamber Ag Committee at noon.

The Thursday afternoon session will go from 1:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will consists of a Wealth Management and Estate Planning Panel, followed by Kathy Neset of Neset Consulting giving a presentation on Oil as it Impacts Agriculture and Reclamation and a presentation by Al Slater of Anheuser-Busch on Our Changing World-Consumers Rule.

The Williston Chamber of Commerce and the Williston Regional Economic Development Corp. invites everyone to attend their after-hours business social on Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Williston ARC at 822 18th St. E in Williston. During this event, retired NDSU Extension Horticulturalist, Ron Smith, will be giving a presentation on “Wine Tasting Etiquette” and Anheuser-Busch will provide Specialty Beer Tasting. Music will be provided by Jessie Veeder and food catered by Black Gold.

FRIDAY: Refreshments will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the Nelson Valley Irrigation Tour will begin at 9:15 a.m. The Showcase winds down at noon with lunch being provided by area sponsors.
