Fairview Festival This Weekend

Festival activities begin Friday, July 18th at 5pm with Hamburgers in the park; a fundraiser for local Ribbon Walk teams. At 11:00am, the centennial (red, white and blue) themed Kiddie parade begins. Youth involved with the parade should line up at the Mon-Dak Clinic at 10:30am. Remember, all motorized vehicles must be operated by a licensed driver.

From 11:30am to 12:30pm those involved with the grand parade will need to meet on State Street for parade registration; again, a centennial theme is encouraged.

Lunch will be served at 11:30am and the grand parade will kick off at 1pm. Following the parade, the program in the park will be held at the gazebo. The annual duck race fundraiser will start at 4:00pm. To end the day a multi-generational community social will be held at the Fairview High School.

On Sunday, July 20th, the first annual Footloose in Fairview 5k will kick off at 8:00am. Registration is held at Sharbono Park, 7:30am and is $25 per participant (kids 12 and under are free of charge when accompanied by an adult). All proceeds will benefit the construction of Fairview’s walking path. St. John Lutheran Church & Fairview Alliance Church will host church service in the park at 10:30am.
