Sidney Elks Member Installed as President of The Montana Elks Association

When you say the name, Sherry Qunell, there are not many people in the community of Sidney, MT that won't know who you are talking about. Always with a smile on her face and eager to lend a helping hand wherever she can. Whether it's the yearly Easter egg hunt the Elks Club puts on for the children, the free will donation 911 dinner, or hosting the Sidney's 8th grade graduation luncheon, Sherry Qunell, is someone who is hard to forget. Sherry met her husband Joe Qunell in 1985 and married in 1986, they then had their son Greg.

As a member of the Sidney Elks Lodge, Qunell was elected as the Montana State President of the Elks Association. Qunell has been a member of the Elks B.P.O.E Club Association for 16 years and a member of the community of Sidney for even longer. The Elks Club Creed B.P.O.E stands for; Believe in the goodness in thyself as well as in others; Protect childhood with tenderness, old age with respect, and cherish with reverence the memory of those who have passed away; Observe faithfully the Golden Rule; Enjoy the good things of earth, keep within thee the glorious sunshine of youth and remain always of good cheer. Qunell could not be a better example of exactly that. Qunell has always gone above and beyond just a volunteer in the community. Her actions of thoughtfulness, caring attitude, eagerness to help, hard work and dedication, is exactly what gives Sidney that small hometown feeling that everybody loves.

Sherry Qunell was installed as the Montana State Elks President, on July 26, at The Sidney Elks Lodge, during the Elks Convention over the weekend. What an honor & blessing it is to the community to have someone such as herself represent the town of Sidney and The Sidney Elks Lodge.
