Main Street Montana Project Pillar 1 Update

August 20 was another great day focused on the Main Street Montana Project and its pillar focusing on training and educating tomorrow’s workforce today.

Lt. Gov. Angela McLean hosted a meeting in Glendive with business and community leaders from across eastern Montana. At the meeting they discussed the unique employment challenges facing many of the oil and gas communities. Unlike in many places in Montana, businesses in these oil and gas communities regularly struggle to find workers with the skills and training to fill the jobs that are open. This fact, combined with the abundance of oil and gas jobs has presented unique challenges in finding qualified applicants.

On August 21, we put out some exciting news about the Main Street Montana Project, and the work that has been done in Indian Country, and some of the priorities the Governor will be focusing on in the coming months.
