Dakota West Credit Union will be holding an Open House to celebrate the opening of their new location at 340 North Main in Watford City as well as International Credit Union Day on October 16.
International Credit Union (ICU) Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history and to promote its achievements. The theme of this year’s event is “Local Service. Global Good.,” emphasizing credit union’s positive impact in their communities and around the world. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the great work that credit unions are doing around the world and give members the opportunity to get involved.
International Credit Union Day will be celebrated from 8am – 5pm with refreshments in the lobby. There will be a ribbon cutting at 10am. That evening they will have an Open House from 5pm – 7pm with appetizers, drawings for gift cards and a kids ‘Guess what is in the jar’ contest with gift cards for the winners.
