Stop By Tina's Greenhouse For All Your Planting Needs

Tina's Greenhouse located at 316 Richards Ave E in Alexander, ND opened for the 2015 season May 19th. What began as a hobby for owner Tina Moreno, is now in its fourth year as a business. Moreno worked in greenhouses for nine years in Nebraska prior to moving to North Dakota where her personal project became a family operation her husband and grandson help ingher in the greenhouse. She initially started out by planting flowers at the homes of senior citizens or bringing them to the greenhouse so they could pick out what they wanted in their arrangements.

"I am a people person. I like to see the smiles on people's faces when they walk in the door," said Moreno. "I think I'd rather be in the greenhouse than in the house."

She has three new kinds of geraniums in this year: allure salmon, single and double white, and dynamo red, all with large blooms. Moreno carries grasses such as twisted dart, a juncus grass and isorepsis live wire grass, both ornamental. She has the popular black magic petunias and begonia bossa in red and orange. Tina's Greenhouse has a wide variety of bedding plants, perennials, hanging baskets and flowerpot arrangements. In fact, customers can bring their own planters and Moreno will plant custom arrangements for them.

There are also vegetable plants such as cucumbers, cantaloupe, zucchini, and plenty of tomato plants that need homes.

Tina's Greenhouse is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and will close for the season around the end of July or beginning of August. Moreno will be at the 4th of July Parade in Arnegard, ND for anyone who would like to purchase plants from her there and she can be reached at 701-828-3139 ior 701-580-2074.
