The Richland County Patriots opened the tournament with a 21-4 victory vs. Fisher Construction. The second game, Richland defeated Jock Stop 10-7 in extra innings (9) in a hard fought game. Richland lost in the undefeated semi-final to VFW 15-4. On Sunday in the severe heat (106 degrees on the field), the Pat's defeated Stockman Bank 3-0 (Dustin Benson pitching the complete game shut-out) and lost in the Championship game to VFW 14-5. The Babe Ruth Patriots had an excellent overall season, continually improving throughout the season, having fun and winning a lot of games.
