Fairview School to be Featured on 2015 Fairview Old Timer's Festival Button

Fairview, Montana, the little town too big for one state, has countless amounts of history. This year, the 69th Fairview Old Timer's Festival will celebrate the history of Fairview School and host an all class reunion.

To all past and present students, the Cliff Notes for a history exam of Fairview school follow:

In 1915, the original grade school was constructed. In 1928, Fairview school held an organizational meeting for what was to be the Fairview PTA. In 1936, Fairview fielded its first 6 man football team. 1943 Fairview had its first boxing club. The old gym and old vo-ag building were completed in 1951. Also, in 1951, seventy two high school students made up the "singing band" and were known to be one of the most outstanding band-chorus combos in the northwest by music critics. The present elementary building was built in 1964. The new gym and cafeteria was built in 1968. The school year of 1976/77 brought Fairview school a new shop and vo-ag building and the very first kindergarten class.

If only the halls could talk...The third weekend in July, you will be able to bring the halls of Fairview School alive by taking a walk down memory lane.
