Mid-Rivers Telephone Cooperative to Help Serve Free Rootbeer Floats as Part of Co-op Day Thurs., Aug. 6 at the Richland County Fair

Mid-Rivers Telephone Cooperative was formed in 1952, and currently is celebrating its 63rd year serving its members. Operating in Eastern and Central Montana, Mid-Rivers is the largest landmass telephone cooperative in the continental United States. It services an area encompassing 30,000 square miles over a 21-county area of Montana and three counties in North Dakota.

As your cooperative, Mid-Rivers provides a variety of services beyond the basic telecommunications services. Higher Education Scholarships are available annually to high school seniors and continuing college students to aid in their efforts of obtaining an education beyond High School. Mid-Rivers offers rural economic development assistance, including free grant writing, to communities in the Mid-Rivers Service area to assist local governments, schools and non-profits. Mid-Rivers has proven that the Cooperative business model is highly effective for providing high-cost services in rural areas.

One of the most recent changes Mid-Rivers has implemented is to update and significantly reduce prices on cellular plans.
