Dare To Prepare At Richland County FAIR!

The American Red Cross’s local Disaster Action Team (DAT) will be busy volunteering at the Richland County Fair this year, Aug. 5-8!

Everyone is invited to the agriculture building where the Red Cross booth will be located. It will feature a large Red Cross display board with lots of emergency information, including the promotion of two new apps: the Red Cross Emergency app and a children’s game called Monster Guard. Both of these are free and promote emergency preparedness and prevention.

Volunteers will have quiz questions (four per day) and great prizes to give away! We are striving for a high level of interaction with the public on preparedness issues.  They will hand out bags with some basic preparedness information inside that is good for all ages! They are looking forward to seeing you at the Richland County Fair this year!

Red Cross DAT members are prepared to assist our community in situations like home fires, natural disasters, or other emergencies.  The team meets on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Nutter Building, and the meeting is open to the public. For more information on volunteering with Montana Red Cross, join them at one of their monthly meetings or go to redcross.org/montana/volunteer.

You can help people affected by disasters like wildfires, as well as countless other crises at home and around the world, by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, and other emergency assistance in response to disasters.
