Former ND First Lady To Place Additional Gubernatorial & Family Memorabilia In Lewis & Clark Museum

Earlier this year, our museum was privileged to enjoy a visit from the delightful Mrs. Grace Link. (Grace, 96, the widow of former North Dakota Governor Art Link.) She relayed that she would like to place some of their family items and possibly gubernatorial items in addition to the donations already in place at the Lewis & Clark Trail Homestead Museum, Alexander. We have cleared out an entire room for their artifacts and family memorabilia in anticipation of a very special exhibit in their honor.

Once the room was cleared, we realized that more work was needed to bring it into a state of repair that would be appropriate for such a wonderful display. One of our part time employees, Sandra Pingel, said that her son Mark is in pursuit of becoming an Eagle Scout and thought that the Link Room would be a good project for him. Brent, Sandra’s husband and former building contractor, came to look it over and decided that it would indeed be a good Eagle Scout project.

The museum Board of Directors have approved this project and we are on our way to aligning tasks for completion.
