Kennedy New Executive Director of Sidney Area Chamber

Kristin Kennedy began her new career as Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture's executive director on July 20. She plans to have a lot of fun while working with people improving the community and bringing new opportunities for members of the chamber. She also plans to help bring more events to Sidney and increase tourism, through the TBID and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Although Kennedy grew up in Gillette, WY, she always wished to move to Montana. Her parents lived and worked in Sidney for several years, then retired to Fort Peck, so Kennedy was well acquainted with the area. She was employed by St. Peter's Medical Group in Helena before moving to Sidney and working for Lunderby's. Although she enjoyed her position at Lunderby's, the desire to interact with the public prompted her to choose the chamber. She is married to Paul and they have a blended family of 6 children.

Kennedy is looking forward to meeting everyone, whether chamber members or not, and invites everyone to stop by the office at 909 S. Central Ave., Sidney.
