Artist Elene Weege Joins Blue Buffalo Exhibit at the MonDak Heritage Center

Elene Weege moved to Stevensville, MT from Wisconsin in 1998, after retiring from a medical business profession to pursue a career as a full time artist. Weege spent five years studying art at two campuses of the University of Wisconsin as a returning student and focused on oil painting and photography. She has exhibited at the Blue Buffalo Art Show and Sale, Cody, WY, Western Heritage Annual Art Shows, Great Falls, The Montana Professional Artists Association Annual Shows, Hamilton, and the Pastel Society of the Northern Rockies, plus many other juried and invitational art shows.

Recent exhibits include the Paint the Parks Mini Competition where two paintings depicting America's Nation Parks were juried and were in a yearlong traveling exhibit, the Missoula Art Museum Auction and Fund Raiser, The Yellowstone Art Museum Auction, and the Waterworks Art Museum, Miles City where she received 2nd place in their Annual Exhibit, Works on Paper. Weege's work is in a number of private collections across the country and can be seen at Art Focus Gallery, Hamilton and Montana Art and Framing, Missoula.
