Shopko Hometown Opens Its Second Store in Sidney

On June 7, 2015 Shopko Hometown opened at its second location at 500 North Central Ave in Sidney, the only community to have two Hometown stores. Shopko Hometown carries a range of merchandise such as Nike and Adidas brand shoes, housewares, men's, women's, and children's apparel, dry and canned goods, pet supplies, toys, electronics, and so much more of 'The stuff that counts.' Be sure to stop in and get a Shopko cash rewards card and get special offers and coupons; card members can earn a $10 gift card for every 1,000 points, receiving 10 points on any purchase of $5.00 or more and 100 points for every $25.00 purchased.

"We are excited to have an additional store in the Sidney. Given the sales volume, location, and physical size of our store, it makes sense to have two locations," said Michelle Hansen Manager of Public Relations & the Shopko Foundation.

It took approximately eight weeks for the store to open and during that time renovations such as a new store layout, new carpet, and painting took place. The recently opened store employees 26 of 55 total Shopko employees and are proud to support the community.
