The Dummy Team Roping has been an annual, family event since 2010. Funds raised at this event will go directly towards the cost of putting on the Neal Hermanson Memorial Ranch Rodeo to be held on June 11. The rodeo, in turn, raises money for the Empty Saddle Foundation where funds are distributed primarily in scholarships to local graduates.
It is an event for both kids and adults and roping experience is not required!
The Dummy Team Roping will be held on January 16th at the VFW in Sidney. Sign-ups will be from 3-4 pm. The kids' roping category will start first, at 4:30 pm with the adults' roping to follow. It will be "pick-one, draw-one" for $20. The top 15 ropers will go to the short-go for the Calcutta.
Chili will be provided by Seitz Insurance Agency for contestants and viewers throughout the event.
