Northwest Landowners Assoc. Announces Presenters For Landowner Informational Expo

Berthold, N.D. — Northwest Landowners Association will be hosting a Landowner Informational Expo on February 2nd as an opportunity for its members and the general public to learn more about landowner issues and interface with representatives from state agencies, oil and pipeline companies, and elected officials. The Landowner Informational Expo will be held at the Mountrail County South Complex in Stanley from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. “Northwest Landowners Association strives to provide unbiased education regarding current and past resource development processes,” remarked Troy Coons, Chairman of Northwest Landowners Association. “The Informational Expo will be a great opportunity for landowners and those working in related fields to hear from those involved at a high level in rulemaking and policy development for the State of North Dakota.”

Those slated to speak at the Informational Expo include: Wayne Stenehjem, Attorney General; Doug Goehring, Department of Agriculture; Julie Fedorchak, Public Service Commission; Dave Glatt, Department of Health; Dan Farrell, State Water Commission; Ron Ness, North Dakota Petroleum Council; Kevin Connors, Department of Mineral Resources; Rich Wardner, Senate Majority Leader; and Kenton Onstad, House Minority Leader. “We are so pleased with the caliber of speakers that we have been able to draw to provide information to landowners in North Dakota. We are also excited about how the relationships we have been able to build with industry and state government officials have worked to benefit landowners and North Dakota residents through responsible resource development,” remarked Coons.

Since its establishment, Northwest Landowners Association has worked to bring together landowners and stewards of North Dakota’s resources for responsible resource development. Now numbering nearly 500 members, Northwest Landowners Association is striving to work with elected officials to develop comprehensive legislation to protect North Dakota’s resources well into the future and ensure a more harmonious coexistence among landowners, residents, and industry.

The Informational Expo will also feature booths representing various state agencies, oil and pipeline companies, and elected officials. The Informational Expo is free to all Northwest Landowners Association members and $10 for non-members with a free lunch being served.
