On Saturday, March 5th, The Elks Lodge in Sidney held Cuts for Cancer, a fun event designed to raise money for the Cancer Coalition Aid Fund which helps area residents facing cancer with costs not covered by insurance, such as living and travel expenses. Elks Members volunteered to have their heads and beards shaved by the public for a donation to their cause; this year’s event was held in honor of Charlie Boyer and raised $750. Kim Lange from Mark Anthony’s gave her time, cleaning up the good-natured volunteers at the end of the night.
