The Re-Tree Richland County 2.0 Program Had Another Successful Year

Richland County Extension Agent Tim Fine gave a hands-on teaching of proper pruning techniques. The workshop gives trees to applicants that attend the program, to be planted in the city right-of-way. This is part of an on-going effort to repopulate and diversify the tree canopy in Richland County.

Steph Ridl, City Parks Superintendent, demonstrated the proper way to plant a tree at the Sidney Country Club on Saturday, April 30th. The 2016 Re-Tree Richland County 2.0 Program had 53 people in attendance and gave out 45 trees.
