Free Concert To Kick Off Summer Reading Program

Jack and Kitty will perform live in concert on Thursday, June 9, at 2 p.m. The free concert is at Veterans Memorial Park in Sidney and will serve as the first annual kick‐off event for the annual summer reading program. Local businesses and organizations will offer free games and activities prior to the concert beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Jack and Kitty are an Emmy Award winning folk duo. They describe their unique sound as "organic vaudeville folk". Jack and Kitty are based in Minneapolis, and perform more than 300 shows a year at major theaters, performing art centers, fairs, and festivals nationwide. Jack and Kitty have performed in 19 countries, toured for the US Pentagon, and sang at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
