Braden Verhasselt won first place in the kids' Watermelon Eating Contest for the 8 - 11 age group. He ate 3.3 lbs of watermelon and won a $30 ice cream spree from Reynolds Market.
Reynolds Market held a Relay for Life Fundraiser on Saturday, July 9th, selling hot dogs and chips for $.50 a plate and accepting donations. In addition to the fundraising event, the store had a Watermelon Eating Contest for kids and a Hot Dog Eating Contest for adults; prizes included a $30 ice cream spree for the winners of each kids' contests and a $100 prize for the winner of the adult contest.
