Schneider Family

It's time to gear up for Sidney's 2nd Annual Amazing Race, Saturday, Oct. 1st from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. The fun event is part of a world-wide effort to showcase libraries as vibrant community centers for learning and collaboration. Sidney's Amazing Race can be completed as a team or individually and it begins at the Sidney-Richland County Library where participants will get their instructions and be sent to participating businesses including Reese & Ray's IGA, Farm Bureau Financial Services, Jitterbugs Christian Preschool, Extended Care, and the Richland County Airport.

Each stop along the race will include a table with a display board featuring how the library partners with that particular business to enhance their services, as well as a game. One final challenge will be held at the library along with the Pit Stop Mat.

There is no cost to register and pre-registration is open at the Richland County Library located at 121 3rd Ave NW in Sidney. Contestants can also register upon arrival.

Contestants can run to each stop as a team, but will earn points individually. The first place winner will receive $100 in Chamber Bucks, and the second place winner will receive $75 in Chamber Bucks.
