The Chair-ity Auction Raised $3,500 and Crestwood has Since Reached Their Goal

The Chair-ity Auction held on Sept. 16th raised $3,500 towards purchasing new dining room chairs for Crestwood Inn. There were a total of 20 chairs that were decorated and auctioned off, all either donated by local artists or sponsored by friends of Crestwood.

"Everyone that came was very generous and we want to thank the community for making this possible," said Kelly Wilkinson, Support Service Coordinator at Crestwood Inn.

Special thanks goes to sponsors including the Dayton Foundation, Prairie Electric Inc., Tri- County Implement Inc., Oneok, Yellowstone Court, MonDak API, Sidney Red-E-Mix Inc., Fink Dental Center, Yellowstone Bank, Hurley Enterprises, Inc., Stockman Bank, David Pickering, Fike Crushing Inc., and The Foundation for Community Care. Additional thanks goes those who sponsored chairs in memory of Dorothy Schieffer, Bill Wilkinson, Fred Schmitz, Helen Gierke, Nellie Pickering, Verda Pederson, Evelyn Bain, Anna Schlagel, and Mayor Harold Mercer, as well as those who sponsored in honor of Alton Hillesland.

Wilkinson states she feels very blessed to live in such a giving community, thanks to generous sponsors she has reached her goal. Wilkinson plans to have an open house this winter after the new chairs have arrived.
