Saturday, November 26 is Shop Small, or Small Business, Saturday across the country. This holiday was recognized by Congress in 2011 and was created in an effort to empower small businesses amid Black Friday and major corporations' holiday marketing campaigns. Some small businesses will be offering sales and promotions to celebrate.
Larsen Service Drug, Inc. in Watford City will hand out reusable bags on Saturday to anyone who visits the store, and anything that can fit in the bags will be sold at 20% off. All fall décor will be on sale, and various products offered in-store will be available as samples. Larsen Service Drug is located at 244 Main Street North and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Also, American Express cardholders will receive twice the reward points on any small business purchase now through the end of the year.
Residents of Watford City and surrounding communities can help make an impact on the local economy by participating in Shop Small Saturday.
