Shirley M. Grandlund, 68, Savage, MT

Shirley was born January 11, 1948 in Sidney Mt. to Clara and Reinhold (Micky) Wagner. She attended grade school in Froid Mt. and high school in Townsend and Helena Mt. On March 19, 1966 she was united in marriage to Roger Lassey. Of this union two children were born, son Ronald and daughter Rochelle. She remarried April 7, 1989 to Robert Grandlund.

Shirley was a country girl through and through. She enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. She enjoyed riding horses and raising sheep. One of her many talents was gardening, cooking and canning the fruits of her labor. She enjoyed cooking a variety of foods but one of her favorite dishes was pigs in the blanket (cabbage rolls). She also loved to knit afghans and granny squares, which she made into pillow cases. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were often the topics of her conversation. She always had a caring heart and it showed in the pride she had caring for the residents of the Sunrise Manor in Savage. She was never at a loss for words and could carry on conversations for hours if need be. A talent she probably inherited from her grandfather.

Shirley is survived by her mother Clara Longmire of Helena MT, son Ron (Jeannie) Lassey of Sidney MT, grandsons Kory (Megan) Lassey and Brandon Lassey of Sidney MT, daughter Chelle (Kevin) Schmidt of Powell WY, granddaughter Kelle (Cody) Blake of Powell WY, granddaughter Chris Schmidt of Powell WY, grandsons Caleb (Juliette) Schmidt and Kyler Schmidt of Powell WY, Two great grandchildren, Janessa and Kaden, sisters Sharon Meyers and Debbie (Mel) Briese. brothers Richard, Darrell (Kathy), Terry (Deb), Jim (Nina), Jerry Wagner and many nieces and nephews.

She will be dearly missed by all.
