Devin Lear welcomes anyone who likes a clean vehicle to his new business, Innovative Automotive Appearance located at 621 E. Main St., Sidney. The business offers everything from basic detailing to paint corrections for cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats and RVs. Special requests are welcome. "Just ask. If I can do it, I will," Lear said. The heated shop, with both wet and dry bays, guarantees the customer a clean, dry vehicle, even in the dead of winter. Discounts are offered to veterans, emergency services personnel and teachers.
Lear is a native of Michigan who moved to the area five years ago to work in the oilfield. He met his wife, Jennifer (Iszler) and has made Sidney his home. Lear has three children; 12 year old Elizabeth, 6 year old Percy and 6 month old Ivan.
A car enthusiast since childhood, Lear says he learned everything from his Dad. He also worked for a car dealership in Michigan and did professional detailing on the side. "I'm sort of obsessive compulsive about things being clean, which serves me well in this business," Lear commented.
