Three Buttes Community Project: Cookie Baskets

The Three Buttes 4-H club made cookie baskets to give away to the local Lambert community, for a Christmas community project. We gave away around 27 baskets. Each basket held an assortment of cookies, brownies, candies and other holiday treats.

We rolled them into a clear bag, tied a fancy ribbon around and hung two ornaments painted by the members of the Three Buttes 4-H Club.

Each family volunteered to deliver one or more baskets and say a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our neighbors around Richland County.

Earlier in the year, in November, we made snowman table center decorations for the Lambert extended care. We had blocks of wood painted white and the members chose seasonal fabric and created a hat and scarf for the snowman and drew faces on the wood. This was a cute and unique idea; using a traditional winter decoration and making it fun for a community project.
