Kat's Kitchen Offers Great Food For the Whole Family

Hungry? For some great food in a family atmosphere, try Kat's Kitchen at the Elks Lodge in Sidney. Owner Kirsten Traylor cooks up mouthwatering breakfast foods, and a soup and salad bar on her buffet every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., plus lunch is available off the menu.

Kat's Kitchen also hosts steak nights every Saturday. Selections include beef, chicken and perhaps some fish. Due to a conflict, this week only, steak night will be held on Friday, February 24.

Have Kat's Kitchen cater your next event, at the Elks, or any suitable location. Selections include everything from picnic fare to gourmet dinners.

Traylor is originally from Germany but immigrated to the US at the age of 16. After a few moves, she settled in South Carolina where she worked as a sous chef at a country club for 10 years.

Wanting to get away from crowds, she and her family started searching for "small town USA" and found Sidney, MT. They had no idea about the oil boom going on, or the high rents, but they decided to make Sidney their home. Traylor and her husband Robert Oakley have four children aged 19, 16, 4 and 7 months. They love the community and are happy to be in a place "where everybody knows everybody".
