Calling all Molls & Gangsters! Bootleggers Ball is Coming!

The Irish Mob is the oldest organized crime group in the United States, in existence since the early 19th century. Irish-American organizations in Chicago were at their peak during Prohibition, specializing in bootlegging and highjacking. Gangs in New York, Philadelphia and Boston also figured prominently with gang leaders such as “Big” Bill Dwyer, Jack ”Legs” Diamond, Daniel “Danny” O’Leary and Frank Wallace. The Irish Mob in Chicago would soon be rivaled by Italian mobsters, particularly Al Capone.

This year the Bootleggers Ball, scheduled for March 17th, will celebrate as The Bootleggers Ball Goes Irish. We are proud to welcome back several venders including distributers representing Hood River Distillers (Pendleton, Trails End), Jack Daniels Distillery, Diageo (Crown Royal) and Montana Distilleries featuring Montana made whiskey & vodka.

Get dolled up in your favorite 20s glad rags; enjoy sampling the different hooch offered, then step out on the heated patio and take pleasure in a cigar from Sweet Ash Cigars. Dine on some hors d’oeuvres served by the new Kat’s Kitchen. Flash those gams and kick up your dogs to your favorite music as performed by The Relics. Transportation home will again be provided by the Sidney Shuttle.
