CITY OF Sidney - June 28, 2017
Due to severe area drought conditions, City of Sidney officials are urging all members of the public to exercise extra caution for any fireworks used within city limits. City officials have discussed whether to institute a fireworks ban with area fire department officials and at this time there is not a ban on fireworks for the City of Sidney. However, conditions will be monitored closely and such a decision is subject to change. People are urged to avoid fireworks in areas where there is dry grass or weeds, tall vegetation, open fields and in the Lone Tree Creek area.
