Toys for Tikes Fundraiser July 25th in Watford City

On Tuesday, July 25th there will be a “Toys for Tikes” fundraiser from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Watford City Tourist Park. There will be a free will donation supper served at the event along with live music performed by local musicians. Attendants are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy or gift for children from the ages of six months to 17 years old. There will be games, competition for the best “July Christmas Tree”, Christmas goodies, and drinks served by local businesses. Santa will also be at the event dressed in his Hawaiian attire. “After seeing such a huge need for toys last year at the Children’s Christmas Party, we decided to do a fundraiser so that we could provide more toys for the children,” said Stacey Arnegard.

All proceeds will go towards The Bakken Oil Rush Ministry and the toys will be used for the Children’s Christmas Party in December. The Bakken Oil Rush Ministry, located in Watford City, is a nonprofit organization that is serving the area with the intention of meeting the psychical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people who have made their homes in oilfield country. They have provided free meals, toys, clothing, and holiday celebrations for families that are away from home on the holidays. They have also opened up a Bakken Thrift Center in Watford City. For more information on the event, you can contact Laura Sanford at (701) 300-1386 or Stacy Arnegard at (701) 770-7492.
