SHS Speech, Drama and Debate Team Competes in Plentywood

The SHS Speech, Drama and Debate Team travelled to Plentywood on Saturday to compete against 13 schools and close to 200 competitors. The whole team made it to finals. The Speech and Debate Team finished in 1st place. Leading the Speech team were seniors Luke Turek and Alex Messer finishing 1st and 2nd in Original Oratory. Kyle Topp competing in her first meet of the season took first in SPOI. In Impromptu Lauryn Barnhart placed 4th and Naomi Mata placed 6th. In MPA Christine Turek placed 3rd, informative Randy Lander placed 6th. The Debate Team did well also with Sam Stephenson placing 2nd, Yarenci Gonzalez 3rd and Jazmine Hernandez playing 5th.

The Drama Team also Placed 1st in Class A Sweeps with Senior Atlas Hill continuing her winning streak in Dramatic Solo by placing 1st, Kyla Carlson placed 7th. Humorous Duo team Tyler Berka and Josh Delaney placed 4th, Humorous Solo Madi Brost placed 5th. In Classic Duo Daniel Schnieder and Shoua Vang took 4th, Lorraine Coronato and Autumn Davidson placed 5th and Noah Kyhl and Isaac Quiroz placed 6th. The team heads to Billings Central next weekend.
