Workshops for Gardeners

Would you like to control weeds without using toxic chemicals? If yes, you will want to attend the NDSU Spring Fever Garden Forums.

The Forums will be held on Monday nights beginning on March 19 and going to April 9, 2018. Besides discussing the control of weeds, the first forum will address how to start seeds indoors and how to grow black currants.

“This is a great opportunity for gardeners to learn about trends and see the latest research from NDSU,” states Tom Kalb, Extension Horticulturist.

A team of experts in subsequent forums will share information on selecting trees, growing ornamental grasses, starting a Juneberry patch, fighting invasive bugs and much more.

Presentations are made at NDSU and broadcast over the internet. Gardeners can attend at one of 30 Extension offices across the state or on their home computers. There are no fees. Free samples of seeds and bulbs will be provided to persons attending at the NDSU Extension Service/McKenzie County.
